Before coming here everyone told me they ate Koushari at least once a day while living in Cairo. I had my first Koushari yesterday and I can confirm that it is indeed awesome, and awesomely cheap. 2LE for a "small" size (which filled me from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) which consists of spaghetti noodles, tube-like noodles, lentils, tomatoes and fried onions. Then you get a vinegary and lightly spiced sauce to mix in with it. Everyone knows how much I looooove vinegar so it is no surprise that I love this stuff. I guess now I just have to find the best Koushari place near campus.
